Over the past 10 years, Jumpstart Refugee Talent has delivered numerous interventions to support refugee entrepreneurs including one-on-one coaching support, training programs, pitch competitions, networking with angel investors, business incubation, and even provided seed capital to several refugee owned start-up businesses.

In that time, we identified the largest underserved gap in the entrepreneurial support ecosystem was access to capital. As a nonprofit that delivers entrepreneurship support, we cannot achieve systemic change through programming, training, and grants alone.

Jumpstart Refugee Talent is working to develop a Refugee Impact Fund as a response to the significant capital barriers facing refugee entrepreneurs and refugee impacting organizations. The Fund will create provide access to capital for refugee entrepreneurs seeking to launch or grow their businesses, and do so in a way that removes the structural barriers that currently exist for refugees.

With support from funders and investors, we aim to secure investment and launch the Fund before the end of 2026.

In the meantime, refugee entrepreneurs can access one-on-one coaching and system navigation support by visiting Jumpstart.
