As the first initiative of its kind in Canada, the Refugee Impact Fund is rooted in Jumpstart Refugee Talent’s long-standing work directly with refugee entrepreneurs across the country. After more than a decade of working side by side with refugee entrepreneurs, one reality stood out: talented entrepreneurs were ready to grow but refugee serving markets and infrastructure were missing.
Refugee Impact Fund was developed to strengthen access to capital, connecting refugee entrepreneurs who are ready to grow with investment that recognizes their leadership and potential. At its core is a refugee-lensed investing framework brought into the Canadian investment landscape as both a strategic advantage and a moral compass. This approach centers lived experience, community insight, and structural barriers in how opportunities are identified, assessed, and supported, ensuring capital is deployed with cultural intelligence, integrity, and long-term impact in mind.
